What I meant by uniformity was in materials used, likeness to the actual keyblades. So yea, it's always a good idea to read the bad reviews to see if they actually are reviews that even matter. But they leave the review on the seller acting like it's their fault. This happens in shipping, by the shipping company. I've seen more reviews for cosplay props than I even want to count, that are about the piece having something broken. This is what I was talking about with them being shorter than they should be, and mostly these reviews are cosplayers that don't bother reading the description that tells them exactly how tall they are, then get's mad that they are too short to look right in their cosplay, because they looks too small compared to how they look on the character they are cosplaying. This is normally the people who straight up don't bother looking at the shipping date, then get mad that it takes so long, when they would have known that if they just looked. This is expected when something comes from China, which most of these will be on Amazon. Not saying you CAN'T do this, or that you have to think about them the way I do, just curious to hear what other's have to say on this topic.Īnd as for the reviews, have you read them? I've seen some that I looked at reviews for, where a lot of the time it's one of these: 1) shipping taking long. Having them on a wall next to each other would either make Lady Luck look really big, or Ultima look really small. Like we all know that, say, Ultima is taller than Sora, but Lady Luck is tiny as hell. So about the uniformity, may I ask why? That makes them look weird next to each other. ![]() If size isn't a problem for you and you just want to display something, then literally just pick any of them. It's the same thing with multiple listings that all have the same photo. The same warehouse just supplies to both stores. It's like if you buy Nike's from the Finish Line shoe store, OR footlocker shoe store. So if you see 4 different listings from different amaazon sellers, but the photos are the same, it literally makes no difference which one you buy, they are all the exact same item. Any images you see that match another listing, are all from the same warehouse, that supplies to multiple shops. Or at least the shop selling them gets them from a china warehouse supplier. They are also gonna likely come from china. The ones you find on amazon are not licensed. If that's not something you are ok with, then literally no keyblades that exist are going to work. So as you can see, both are VERY different in size than they should be. In KH3 (the tallest Sora has ever been), Kingdom Key comes up to his belly button, and Oblivion goes up to about his shoulder. Those keyblades reach to basically the lower half of my pants zipper. ![]() Example: Kingdom Key and Oblivion, are both sold by Spirit, and both are the exact same size (as are the others they sell, but I'm using these 2 for a reason). Those are the only licensed ones that are still for sale. For example, the only official way to get the keyblades is the ones from Spirit (halloween store). Do you want one that will look accurate when you hold it? As in one that isn't too small? Because unless you buy the gamestop one for jacked up prices (because it's discontinued, just like the Proplica one is), that's all you're gonna get. I'm very happy with this particular item, but looking at reviews for their Oblivion and Oathkeeper replicas they appear to be of subpar quality? Does anyone else have experience with this brand?ĭepends. I know Spirit Halloween sells cheaper, plastic keyblades (which is where I recently got my nephew his first keyblade), but outside of holiday season they don't seem to carry inventory.Īre there other brands/sellers I should be aware of? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!Įdit: I double checked Amazon, and it appears my first/only Keyblade purchase was Ruian Fly Cutlery. I considered (read: desperately wanted) getting the old Gamestop exclusive Keyblades, but they're going for ridiculous prices on places like Ebay-at least Kingdom Key D goes for upwards of a thousand USD. I've been looking at the reviews for every item I've come across and I can't seem to figure out which is best. Looking around Amazon two names keep popping up-Mtxc and Vorwind Geams. I have a Kingdom Key that I'm pretty happy with at the moment, but I don't recall where/who I obtained it from. As the title asks, I'm curious what is generally considered the best resource for purchasing Keyblade props.
